MOMA Scholarship for Minority Students - 2015
MOMA scholarship is the grant given away to the minority students every
year in the states of INDIA based on the population of the minority religion in
the respective state. Pre, Post and Merit cum Means scholarships are
given to the Indian minority students who are
eligible which is overseen by the
ministry of minority affairs.
The scholarships are confined to Indian government
schools, universities and institutes only, private institutes are considered
prior assortments made by the state governments after thorough inspection. The
grants are even extended to the skilled courses in ITI (Industrial Training
Institutes), Training Centers related with the NCVT National Council for
Vocational Training. As the scholarship named as merit cum means for
meritorious minority students who secures admission into the 85 prestigious
institutions with national importance their education fee will be completely
subsidized by this scheme. Some of the institutes are IIT, IIM, NIT, NIFT,
IIFT, IISC, etc.., for full run down of the list they can refer the official

How to apply for MOMA Scholarship:
The students who are eligible can apply
through official website www.momascholarship.gov.in.
They have can log on to the website and fill the application form along with
supportive documents like admission approval of the institute etc.., and submit
online and also they have to take Photostat of the filled in application forms
and submit in the college of their admission.
MOMA Scholarship eligibility criteria:
- Only students from the minority group are eligible.
- Minority student must be studying in the Indian school, University, Institute only.
- She/he are enrolled in any professional or technical courses like engineering or architecture or MBBS or Para medical courses or veterinary science or Animal husbandry or CA or CS or ICWA or fashion technology or design or pharmacy or law or Management or MCA.
- Student and his/her Parent or Guardians income must not be more than INR. 2,50,000/-
- She/he must have acquired a minimum of 50% aggregate in class 12.
Only one student from a family is allowed in this scheme.
The scholarships will not be paid for the students who are undergoing
internship for their technical courses. The grant will be retracted from the
student in case if she/he has changed or discontinued from the institute for
which the scholarship has been issued.
