Ministry of Ayush Issues Public Notice on Misleading Claims and Advertisements
The Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has issued a public notice clarifying that it does not endorse any specializations as cannabis experts, hempvaidyas, or cannabis doctors. The public is advised to avoid individuals claiming to be cannabis experts within Ayush systems and to seek guidance only from registered practitioners.
Furthermore, the Ministry emphasizes that it does not certify or approve Ayurvedic, Siddha, Unani, and Homeopathic (ASU&H) companies or their products. The license for manufacturing ASU&H medicines is granted by State Licensing Authorities. Misleading advertisements claiming miraculous effects of ASU&H drugs are illegal and should be reported to the Ministry or State Licensing Authorities for action.
Public is also encouraged to report any such objectionable advertisements, false claims, fake medicines etc. to the concerned State Licensing Authority or Ministry of Ayush at ayush-medicine@gov.in for appropriate action.
