ICMR Recruitment 2026: Senior Consultant (Scientific Non-Medical)

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has invited applications for the post of Senior Consultant (Scientific Non-Medical) under its Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Coordination Unit at ICMR Headquarters. The positions are purely temporary and contractual.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

1. AMR and Public Health Specialization

• Minimum qualification: M.Sc., B.Tech., B.E., MCA, MPH, B.Pharm., BAMS, BSMS, MD in AYUSH, or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
• At least 12 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in public health programmes, antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial stewardship, multicentric projects, large datasets, surveillance platforms and microbiological data analysis is desirable.

2. Data Science and AI/ML Specialization

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning or Computational Biology; or B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• At least 10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Experience in AI/ML models, predictive analytics, Python, R, Java, SQL, large datasets and data management systems.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for a written examination and personal discussion. Original documents will be verified to confirm eligibility.
