Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Health Department, has invited applications for the post of Senior Public Health Specialist under the Metropolitan Surveillance Unit (MSU) of the Communicable Disease Control Department.

  • ₹1,75,000 for MBBS with MD/DNB
  • ₹1,50,000 for MBBS with EIS Training Course Certificate
  • ₹1,25,000 for B.Sc. in Life Sciences

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:

1. MBBS recognized by MCI with MD in PSM/Community Medicine, MD (CHA), MD (Tropical Medicine), or DNB in Social and Preventive Medicine/Community Medicine.
2. MBBS recognized by MCI with EIS Training Course Certificate.
3. BDS / BAMS / BHMS / BUMS / BPT / B.Sc. in Life Sciences such as Nursing, Biology, Microbiology, Developmental Biology or Physiology, along with Master of Public Health (MPH – Epidemiology) or Diploma in Public Health (DPH – Epidemiology).
4. Master in Applied Epidemiology (MAE) from a recognized university in India, along with two years of experience in Public Health after obtaining the specified postgraduate qualification.
5. PhD in Clinical Sciences, Medical Science, Preventive Medicine, Human Physiology, Pathophysiology or Epidemiology.

Experience Required

Candidates should have at least 10 years of field experience after obtaining the essential qualification in implementing Public Health Programmes/Interventions, with a focus on communicable diseases.

The candidate must also have passed the 100 Marks Marathi Language Examination at SSC/HSC level and should have command over the Marathi language.

Age Limit

• Open Category: 18 to 38 years
• Reserved Categories: 18 to 43 years
