Punjab & Sind Bank Recruitment 2026: Medical Consultant Vacancy for BHMS & MBBS Doctors

Punjab & Sind Bank, a Government of India Undertaking, has invited applications for the engagement of a Bank's Medical Consultant at its Regional Office, Shimla on a contractual basis.

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:

• MD in General Medicine recognized by the Medical Council of India with at least 5 years of post-MD experience, or
• MBBS or BHMS with a minimum of 7 years of experience as a registered medical practitioner.

Preference will be given to MD (General Medicine) candidates. However, if suitable MD candidates are not available, eligible MBBS/BHMS doctors may be considered. Doctors currently or previously empanelled with PSUs or Banks will also receive preference.

Working Hours

The consultant will work for 8 hours per week. Visiting days will be decided based on the convenience of the bank staff.

Remuneration

The selected Medical Consultant will receive ₹800 per hour.

Contract Period

The initial contract will be for 2 years, with the possibility of extension based on satisfactory performance.

Selection Process

Applications will be scrutinized, and shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview through email. Final selection will be based on interview performance.
