World Homoeopathy Day 2026 – NCH Calls for Nationwide Activities
Every year on April 10, the homoeopathic community celebrates World Homoeopathy Day to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homoeopathy.
For World Homoeopathy Day 2026, the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) through the Board of Ethics and Registration in Homoeopathy (BERH) has issued a circular encouraging State Homoeopathy Councils and practitioners to organize academic, awareness, and community outreach activities.
Objectives of the Initiative
The celebrations aim to promote:
- Professional ethics in homoeopathic practice
- Public awareness about homoeopathy
- Academic participation and knowledge sharing
- Community engagement and health outreach
Creative and Awareness Competitions
Various creative competitions are proposed to engage students and practitioners.
Short Video Competition Topics
- Ethical vs Unethical Homoeopathic Practices
- Myths about Homoeopathy
- Pros and Cons of Artificial Intelligence in AYUSH
Other creative competitions include:
- Article Writing
- Poetry Competition
- Poster or Flex Creation
- Rangoli based on Homoeopathy themes
Academic and Professional Competitions
To encourage academic excellence and clinical discussion, the following programs are suggested:
- Clinical Case Presentation Competition
- Young Practitioner Achievement Award
The Young Practitioner Award recognizes homoeopathic doctors who have contributed to community service, research, and public health initiatives.
Public Health and Community Outreach
State councils are encouraged to organize outreach programs such as:
- Free Health Check-up Camps
- Health Awareness Programs
- Blood Donation Camps
- Health Awareness Run or Marathon
Health camps may focus on issues like:
- Anemia and malnutrition in women and children
- Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in elderly patients
- Seasonal diseases
Media Engagement and CME Programs
To increase awareness about homoeopathy, the circular also suggests:
- Press conferences and media interaction
- Public awareness campaigns
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs
Discussion topics may include lifestyle disorders, mental health, and integrative healthcare approaches.
Interdisciplinary Panel Discussions
Panel discussions involving psychologists, yoga instructors, and healthcare professionals may be organized to discuss the role of homoeopathy in mental health, ADHD, and modern lifestyle challenges.
Timeline for Activities
State councils are advised to organize events between:
April 1 – April 4, 2026
After completing the activities, councils should submit a brief report with photographs and outcomes to BERH before April 6, 2026.
