Guidelines for Resignation and Relieving Process in Homeopathy Colleges
To address these concerns, the Homoeopathy Education Board has issued the following guidelines to ensure a smooth resignation and relieving process for both faculty members and institutions.
Guidelines for Resignation and Relieving
1. Resignation Submission
Faculty members must submit their resignation to the concerned authority with a notice period of a maximum of 30 days or as specified in their appointment letter. Institutions are advised to set a 30-day notice period in appointment letters to maintain uniformity.
2. Notice Period Commencement
The notice period starts from the date of submission of the resignation.
3. Institution's Obligation
Once a faculty member has submitted their resignation, the institution cannot retain them against their will.
4. Issuance of Relieving & Experience Certificate
Institutions must issue the relieving and experience certificate on the day of relieving. This process must be completed within 30 days from the date of resignation.
5. Penalties for Non-Compliance
If an institution:
- Retains a faculty member beyond the specified period,
- Fails to issue a relieving/experience certificate, or
- Does not release the faculty's due salary,
the National Commission for Homoeopathy will take strict action.
Additionally, if a faculty member is appointed to a government position, they must be relieved as per their request without unnecessary delays.
6. Faculty Responsibilities
Faculty members should adhere to professional ethics. They must:
- Serve the notice period as per their appointment terms,
- Avoid leaving without notice, and
- Follow proper resignation protocols.
Institutions have the right to take appropriate action against faculty members who violate these terms.
7. Government College Faculty
For faculty in government colleges, the resignation and relieving process will follow the norms of the concerned government department.
8. Updating Faculty Details
Both the relieving and appointing institutions must update the faculty member’s details on the Ayush Education Portal after their transition.
9. Consequences of False Experience or Appointment
Issuing or submitting false experience certificates or appointing faculty members on paper only, without actual teaching involvement, will result in penalties for both the faculty and the institution.
Conclusion
These guidelines aim to streamline the resignation and relieving process, ensuring transparency and fairness for both faculty members and institutions. By following these regulations, institutions can maintain ethical practices, and faculty members can transition smoothly to their next professional opportunity.
