    Tamil Nadu Budget 2021 - Rs.18,933 crore Allocated for Health and Family Welfare

    The first paperless budget session in the history of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly is presented at Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai today (13-08-2021).

    Finance Minister PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan has announced in the budget that a new Siddha Medical College will be started through the Palani Dandayuthapani Temple to promote the ancient Siddha medical system which will be enhanced with the knowledge of the Siddhars.

    In many districts the number of underweight and obese children is high and it is a matter of concern to ensure the well-being of the child during childhood.

    Special provision has been made for upgrading the quality of Anganwadi Centers under the Integrated Child Development Program.
