    Ministry of Ayush says No Deductions of Salary or Laying off in ASU and H Colleges

    A number of representations / complaints have been received by Ministry of AYUSH that many ASU and H Colleges cutting / deducting salaries or laying off faculties and other employees working in the Colleges.

    Hon'ble Prime Minister has already asked the public and private establishment employers not to cut / deduct salaries or lay off employees during the Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic as their physical absence from duties are due to the Central Government / State Government orders, so they should be treated as "on duty" during their period of absence. The Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, New Delhi has also issued an advisory vide D.O No. M-11011/08/2020-Media dated 20.03.2020 in this regard.

    In this regard, CCIM and CCH have issued letters vide Ref. No. 20-5/2020-CCIM (PMRF) dated 30.04.2020 and Ref No. 14-22/2018-CCH/59 dated 29.04.2020 respectively, stating that all the self-financed ASU and H colleges/institutions are advised to extend their coordination and contribute to the national cause by not cutting / deducting salaries or laying off any faculties or other employees working in the colleges and to ensure regular on-time payments during this hour of need. Further, CCIM has re-iterated its communication vide letter with Ref. No. 26-74/2018-(Common matters) dated 24.07.2020.


    Ministry of Ayush sent a letter to Principals of all self-financed ASU and H colleges (copy enclosed) wherein it is advised to extend their support by not cutting/deducting salaries or laying off any faculty or other employees working in the colleges and to ensure regular on-time payments during this crisis which has severely affected all of you.


    In view of the above, all teachers are advised that any non-payment or deduction in
    payment of salary or laying off may be brought to the notice of Ministry of AYUSH at ep1section-ayush@gov.in / CCIM / CCH along with supporting documentary evidences without delay so as to ensure compliance by the management of ASU and H colleges.
