Bihar Cabinet Approves Creation of 2,340 posts of AYUSH Medical Officers

The Bihar cabinet on 27-08-2019 approved creation of 2340 AYUSH physicians posts. This decision has been taken with the aim of strengthening and effective healthcare in the state.

Principal Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat, Sanjay Kumar said that one additional Ayush doctor will be posted in all the additional primary health centers of the state. These posts have been created for this purpose. These include 50 percent Ayurvedic, 30 percent homeopathy and 20 percent Unani physicians.

He said that there are 2772 additional Primary Health Centers in the state. Out of these 432 AYUSH doctors posts have already been created. The above posts have been created for the remaining 2340 centers.
