Kollam: A young homoeopath hailing from Kollam has made his mark in an international forum. He presented his research findings at the Homeopathic Research Institute (HRI) in London independently representing India.

Amjith Naisam, 24, of ‘Amara’ at Kannanalloor in Kottayam has also been honoured as the youngest doctor to make a poster talk presentation at the prestigious venue.

He presented his findings at the 4th HRI International Homeopathy Research Conference held under the category ‘Agrohomeopathy’.

He presented his paper on the homoeopathic management of tomato leaf curl virus at the ‘cutting edge research in homoeopathy’ section under the poster talk programme.

He claims to have proven that homoeopathic medicine could be effectively used to overcome the tomato leaf curl virus and increase yield.

Mr.Nasam graduated in homoeopathy from the Sarada Krishna Homeopathic Medical College at Kulasekharam in Tamil Nadu in 2018. He had also secured national recognition with ‘A’ grade by Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH) for his research during his studies itself.

“This recognition received at the national level made me focus on international competition. In London, several international researchers expressed their willingness to join me in research work. With my findings, I see infinite possibilities for homoeopathy in the agricultural sector,” he told DC.

He claims the homoeopathic medicine avoiding pesticides in non hybrid tomatoes gives good yield also.

There were nine delegates from India at the three day conference held last month.

He is currently practising as a homoeopath in Kollam.
