Notification for IT Course for AYUSH Professionals with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing, Pune

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) invites applications from the eligible candidates for the 04 weeks full time training programme "IT Course for AYUSH Professionals" conducted by Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune.

A. Essential Criteria:

1. Graduation in Ayurveda/ Siddha/ Unani/ Yoga & Naturopathy and Homeopathy from recognized university. The candidates who are undergoing internship may also apply.

2. Age of Candidate: Not exceeding 45 years as on 01-07-2019

3. The candidate must be associated with any Central Government/State Government research institute or teaching institute recognized by CCIM/CCH or any AYUSH college recognized by CCIM/CCH or Appropriate Body

B. Desirable:

Post graduation in Ayurveda/ Siddha/ Unani/ Yoga & Naturopathy and Homeopathy from recognized University

C. Minimum Entry level knowledge:

1. Basics of computershardware and softwaretypes of applications such as standalone applications, web applications etc.

2. Usage of Microsoft Office/Open Office viz., Word, Excel (pivot table etc.), Power point presentations etc

3. Use of various software tools for AYUSH research and publication such as Epi-info, Lime survey, Moodle, Mendeley, Google forms, Google documents etc.

4. Introduction to Health Informatics-definitions and basic features of electronic medical records, clinical decision support systems and medical coding systems such as ICD-11, SNOMED CT etc.

5. Introduction to ICT Technologies developed in AYUSH such as e-books, NAMASTE Portal, AYUSH-HMIS, AYUSH Research Portal etc.

6. Know how about functionality of Ministry of AYUSH and AYUSH departments/Ministries at State government level, AYUSH funding and Schemes, Activities of AYUSH-Research Councils, National Institutions etc.

7. Know how about AYUSH Health care delivery channels across India through state and central governments viz., CGHS, ESIC, National Health Mission etc.

8. Know how about AYUSH Education System (CCIM, CCH etc.)

9. Knowledge of Research & development activities/funding from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (viz., ICMR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), CSIR, Ministry of Agriculture (viz., ICAR) etc.

2. Number of Seats: Total 80 seats as per bifurcation given below;

A. Number of Seats for Batch : Total 40 seats

i. Category I: Candidates from Research Councils/National Institutes under Ministry of AYUSH: 20 seats (Fee to be borne by the respective Institute/Organization)

ii. Category II: Candidates from Institutions other than those functioning under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India including Govt. or Private AYUSH colleges recognized by CCIM/CCH or Appropriate Body: 20 Seats (Seats sponsored by Ministry of AYUSH)

B. Number of seats for Batch II: Total 40 seats

i. Category - I: Candidates from Research Councils/National Institutes und

AYUSH: 10 seats (Fee to be borne by the respective Institute/Organization)

ii. Category - II: Candidates from Institutions other than those functioning under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India including Govt. or Private AYUSH colleges recognized by CCIM/CCH or Appropriate Body: 30 Seats (Seats sponsored by Ministry of AYUSH)

3. Fee Structure: 

Training charges Rs. 48,6751- per candidate is to be paid to C-DAC Pune and accommodation charges will be as per tariff of Prithvi Guest House of IITM, Pune (Rs. 600/- per day per candidate). The TA/DA and Local conveyance will be extra

4. Period of Training: Course will be conducted for 4 weeks. The start date of first batch shall be 1st July, 2019 of first batch and the next batch will be started immediately after completion of first batch on 28th July, 2019.
