Tamil Nadu Budget 2019 - Rs.12,563 Crore Allocated to Health Sector
Tamil Nadu budget bill for the 2019-2020 has been filed today(08-02-2019). Deputy CM and Finance Minister O.Panneerselvam filed the budget.
Rs.12,563 crore has been allocated for Health and Family Welfare.
Which is an increase of Rs.925.39 crore compared to last year's allocation.

Important Announcements for the Health Department:
- Rs.12,563.83 crore for health sector in budget estimates for 2019-2020
- Rs.1,363 crore allocated for the Chief Minister's comprehensive insurance plan.
- Rs.59.59 crores for Muthulakshmi Reddy Maternity Fund Scheme
- Continuation of Maternal welfare for pregnant mothers, Amma Maternity Sanjeeve Scheme and women's health plans to provide sanitary napkins.
- Tamil Nadu Health Rehabilitation Scheme will be implemented at a cost of Rs. 2,685.91 crore with World Bank Loan to ensure the availability of medical facilities available to the poor.
- In the three years, all the hospitals will be allocated Rs.247 crore for the combo package to avail all medical investigations.
