Dr.P.K.Sudhir appointed as VC of Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation Deemed University, Salem

Prof.Dr.P.K.Sudhir, BHMS, MD, was appointed as Vice Chancellor of Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation Deemed University, Salem, Tamil Nadu.

He is the first Homoepath appointed as the Vice Chancellor  of a University.

He has taken charge as fourth Vice Chancellor of Vinayaka Mission Research Foundation Deemed University on 6th September, 2018.

During the induction ceremony, Dr.A.S.Ganesan, Chancellor, VMRF-DU, greeted the new VC. Trustees, Vice President, Directors, Former Vice Chancellor & Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Controller of Examination, Director academic, Head of the Institutions - Medical, Dental, Homoeopathy, Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Management, Paramedical, Arts and Sciences, etc., participated in the induction ceremony.

Formerly he served as Controller of Examinations, Kerala University of Health Sciences, Kerala. He is the first Homoeopath to be appointed as COE.

He was born on 10th February, 1964 in Calicut, Kerala and completed his BHMS and MD Homoeopathy from Government Homoeopathy Medical College. Calicut. He was the first MD Homoeopathy degree holder in India.

After completing his education he served at Fr. Muller’s Homoeopathic Medical College Mangalore since 1990 in various positions which includes Tutor, Asst.Professor and Reader.

Then he joined as Director and Prof & HOD of Materia Medica in Vinayaka Missions Homoeopathic Medical College, Salem, in 1998.

From 2001 to 2011 he served as the Principal of Vinayaka Missions Homoeopathic Medical College Salem. During which, he took the steps to start the First PG Degree in (MD Homoeopathy) Homoeopathic Speciality in the subjects of Medicine, Paediatrics and Psychiatry from Vinayaka Mission University, Salem.

He has been a member of CCH.
