Siddha Medical Camp held in Ambur
The Ambur Municipality distributed ‘nilavembu kudineer’ at a Siddha medical camp on Monday.
The camp was held at Krishnapuram as part of efforts to prevent dengue. A doctor from the Siddha wing of Government Hospital was present at the camp.
The municipality officials also advised the public to keep their houses and surrounding clean and free from mosquito breeding sources such as tea cups, coconut shells, tyres, broken pots and unused plastic items.
Clean containers a must
The officials urged the public to keep water storage containers such as plastic barrels and sumps closed to prevent mosquito breeding.
The containers should be washed once every week and checked if there is breeding of mosquitoes, a press release said.
