    West Bengal Government passes Ayurvedic Health Service Bill

    Now, recruitments to all teaching or administrative posts in West Bengal Ayurvedic Education and Health Service will be made through West Bengal Health Recruitment Board. The state government on 22-09-2015 passed West Bengal State Ayurvedic Health Service (Amendment) Bill-2015.


    “The posts in the cadre of the West Bengal Ayurvedic Education Service and the West Bengal Ayurvedic Health Service would now be filled up through the health board,” minister of state for AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy), Health and Family Welfare Department, Ashish Banerjee, said.

    Earlier, the recruitments were being made through the West Bengal Public Service Commission.

    The minister also announced that AYUSH would set up new units for treatment in all districts of South-24 Parganas a part of which is under Jadavpur CoConstituency
