    Siddha doctors demand time-bound promotion

    The Tamil Nadu Siddha Medical Officers Association has urged the State government to implement time bound promotion systems for Siddha medical officers on a par with allopathic doctors.

    The association urged the government to fill all vacant posts of Siddha 
    doctors both in teaching institutions and hospitals.

    A resolution to this effect was adopted at the State general body meeting of the association held here recently.

    It welcomed the Chief Minister’s recent move to introduce a ‘Amma magaperu Sanjeevi’ scheme for the benefit of new born children.

    Dr. M. Pichiah kumar, Assistant Lecturer, Government Siddha Medical College, Chennai, was elected State president at the meeting. Dr. B. Thamizhkkani, Siddha Medical officer, Government Primary Health Centre, Kadugur, Ariyalur, was elected secretary, and Dr.V. Shanthi, Siddha Medical Officer, Government Head Quarters Hospital, Tiruchi, Treasurer, according to a press release.
