AYUSH Tableau - Displayed for the first time in Republic Day Parade
Ancient Indian medicines were prominently displayed in the tableau
presented by Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & NaturopatIhy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), which participated for the first time in the Republic Day parade.
The tableau depicts Yoga system with 'Yogaacharyas' performing 'Yogasanas'. The tableau assumes significance in the wake of Yoga getting global recognition with United Nations declaring June 21 as the International Day of Yoga.
The float had bottles containing Homoeopathic medicines and food items recommended in Naturopathy. It appeared that a small child is being treated from a jar that says "Sulphur".
