    Dr.G.Kannan elected as Faculty Member of CCH, New Delhi

           The Central Council of Homoeopathy (CCH), under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, is the supreme body which controls the Homoeopathic Medical Colleges in India. The members of this council are represented by election among the practitioners of every state in India, faculty of various universities and also nomination by the union government.


                The president, Vice president or a member of Central council shall hold office for a term of five years from the date of election or nomination, as the case may, or until his successor shall have been duly elected or nominated , whichever is longer.


           In Tamil Nadu, The TN Dr. MGR Medical University appointed the faculties Dr. Bhuvaneswari, Principal, Government Homoeopathy Medical College has been appointed as president of the faculty. The university also nominated Dr.Suseela Rufus, Dr. Shamugavadivel, Dr.C.K.Mohan, Dr.Murugan Dr.Nagendra babu, Dr.G.Kannan and Dr.Bindu as faculty members and to elect one among them.

           On 27-03-2014 (Thursday) Dr.G.Kannan, Principal, Sivaraj Homoeopathic Medical College, Salem, has been unanimously elected as the faculty member of the CCH from Tamil Nadu representing the TN Dr.MGR Medical University. His name shall be intimated by the Registrar of the University to the Central Government, to publish in the Official Gazette.
